Some go to church on Sunday and get on their knees,
Beggin’ for their lives and for their deaths and for their soul’s eternity,
Some wear their bombs to die,
For some wonderful life in the sky,
That they believe is a waitin’ for them after their done takin’ lives,
They’re on their knees with their pleas begin’ for their soul’s eternity,
They kill their same in your name can you tell me that is not your game,
Now tell me are you lookin’ with eyes that see?
Or is it all just fallacy?
Oh great lord can you speak to me cause your voice you see is a mystery,
In your own vision and likeness is what they say,
You created man and woman on the sixth day,
That’s quite a vision and quite a breed,
With their apathy and their greed,
Doesn’t sound like a whole lot for me to believe,
On the sixth day is what they say man and woman is what you made,
That’s quite a breed quite a seed with their apathy and with their greed,
Now you gonna tell me that that’s where its at?
I would think they’d know a little better than that,
Oh great lord can you speak to me cause your voice you see is a mystery,
Now I don’t think that all is bad sometimes I see a lot of good,
But too many folks don’t give a dam bout’ what they can or what they could,
Thus I do not retrieve all of my doubts to believe,
That there’s a higher force that’s guiding all humanity,
But I can see that it could be a higher force that guides humanity,
But then I don’t then I won’t buy what others try to sell to me,
Now tell me are you listenin’? do you care?
Cause it often feels like there’s nobody there,
Oh great lord can you speak to me cause your voice you see is a mystery
Now tell me are you listenin’? do you care?
Cause there often feels like there’s nobody there,
Oh great Lord can you speak to me cause your voice you see is a mystery.
